Taxes: Stop unjustified raids by the Guardia di Finanza and the Revenue Agency.

ROME – A crackdown is coming on inspections of businesses and professional offices by the Guardia di Finanza and the Revenue Agency . An amendment to Article 13 of the tax decree, authored by rapporteur Vito De Palma of Forza Italia, currently under consideration by the Finance Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, proposes some restrictions on tax access and inspections.
According to the amendment, the authorization documents and minutes drawn up "must expressly and adequately indicate and justify the circumstances and conditions justifying the access," the text states. The proposed amendment follows the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg's condemnation of unjustified raids by tax authorities.
