After a record-breaking 2024, 2025 will be a year of further expansion for Starhotels. Last year, it closed with revenue of €314.8 million (+2.8%), an EBITDA of €102.7 million, nearly a third of revenues, while net profit was €34.3 million, close to 11% of revenues, a 9% increase over the previous year. These figures could have been better, as EBITDA would have been €104.5 million on a consolidated basis.
The group will continue to grow in the coming months, currently boasting 31 hotels with a total of over 4,300 rooms and luxury residences. "We are looking with interest at the potential of the Italian market, particularly high-profile leisure destinations," explains Elisabetta Fabri, president and CEO of the Starhotels Group. "We are evaluating new opportunities in exclusive areas such as the Amalfi Coast and the islands of Campania and Sicily, with the aim of continuing to offer authentic, high-quality experiences." This development is supported by a €350 million loan, provided by a banking syndicate consisting of BNL BNP (agent bank), BPER, BPM, Credit Agricole, MPS, and Unicredit. The loan has a ten-year term for the purchase of new properties or lease and management operations.
The Hotel Gabrielli, a historic 5-star hotel now managed by the Group, is set to open in Venice at the end of August. "In Florence, we will open the Teatro Luxury Apartments, a new high-end residential project," the president continues. "The management has been entrusted to us by Hines, Blue Noble, and Savills Investment Management SGR. This is a highly valuable initiative, not only for its positioning in the premium hospitality segment, but also for the significant urban regeneration project it represents in a symbolic area of the city, the former Teatro Comunale."
The recent acquisition of the Hermitage Hotel & Resort in Forte dei Marmi, a 4-star property that represents our entry into the resort segment, is scheduled to reopen in June 2026, following the completion of the renovation. "We are continuing to invest in strengthening our portfolio with major renovations at properties we own, such as the Castille in Paris, The Michelangelo in New York, and several hotels in Italy, including Milan, Genoa, and Vicenza with Villa Michelangelo," says Elisabetta Fabri.
The preliminary results for the first half of 2025 show a 9.2% increase in consolidated revenue compared to the same period of the previous year, with some destinations, such as Rome, recording very positive performances and others holding steady.
