Sapio Signs Acquisition of Baywater, UK's Leader in Home Respiratory Care

The Sapio Group has signed an agreement to purchase, from the French group Bastide, Baywater Healthcare Uk Limited, a company that operates in the home oxygen therapy and home respiratory care sector in the United Kingdom, with an annual turnover of around 60 million euros and approximately 500 employees. This is a particularly significant strategic acquisition as Baywater Healthcare - a note informs - is a leader in the provision of such services in the UK with over 60 thousand patients and a market share of over 50%.

"We are very pleased that the Bastide group has decided to sign an agreement with our company - commented Maurizio Colombo, vice president of Sapio - because it is a certificate of the validity of our acquisition and integration project compared to other qualified competitors and, at the same time, represents an important acceleration of the foreign development plan that began many years ago. Our approach has always privileged the quality of patient service and on this there was immediate harmony with the management of Baywater. The English market, moreover - he observes - is a growing market in which in the future we will be able to assist with our services patients affected by other pathologies, which we already provide in other countries. As a family company on behalf of the shareholders of Sapio we can only welcome all the collaborators of Baywater awaiting, after the green light from the English authorities, to work together".

Sapio expects to close the acquisition, supported by Goodwin Procter (UK) LLP, as legal advisor, and by EightAdvisory, as financial and tax advisor, in the third quarter of 2025.
