The duo Stefania & Fabio Massimo

String and wind instruments, alongside the harmonious voices of singers. They are the protagonists of the new edition of " Music in the Church ", the festival that returns to Gravedona ed Uniti every Saturday in July at 7 pm. From Saturday 5, the program offers four classical music concerts inside the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria del Tiglio , with free admission.

The protagonist of the first concert will be the ClarinETnsemble , a clarinet and bass clarinet quartet, with Pino Maggio, Luisa Travaglini, Paola Catale and Claudio Geniale, who will range across different musical styles: from Mozart, Bizet and Brahms to Miller, Morricone and Piazzolla and others. Saturday 12 July, Vento dell'Est, with Daisy Citterio on the piccolo flute and Viliana Dimitrova Ivanova on the harp: they will bring a repertoire of traditional music, waltzes and popular dances, ranging from Dvorak to Tchaikovsky. On Saturday 19 July, the Corale Laurenziana "Giocondo D'Amato" will take the stage, directed by Maestro Ezio Molinetti, with a program of sacred music for female voices from the Middle Ages to today. Founded in 1936 in Chiavenna, it is a female voice ensemble dedicated to polyphonic, sacred and profane music from 1500 to today.

The fourth and final event will be on Saturday 26 July with the cello and clarinet duo Stefania & Fabio Massimo , father and daughter: they will bring to the festival a repertoire with music by Bach, Beethoven, Lefèvre. The festival, with its location, is designed to create a union between art and music, in a suggestive atmosphere: the artistic direction is by Maurizio Moretta, maestro and director of the Istituto Civico Musicale Alto Lario.

The organization of the initiative is managed by the Pro Loco Gravedona association, in collaboration with the Municipality and parish. The festival is also an opportunity to visit and learn about the Romanesque church of Santa Maria del Tiglio, with its unique facade, it was born as a baptistery of the parish church, it is located in an area outside the town center, close to the lakeside.
