Fire at Far Elettric: warehouse destroyed

Pianengo (Cremona), 7 November 2025 - Fire at Far Elettric , a company that has been operating in the photovoltaic and heat pump sectors for around ten years.

The alarm was raised shortly before noon when a wing of a warehouse belonging to the company, located on Via Vittorio Veneto, caught fire. The Crema firefighters were immediately called, as the fire was out of control. The flames quickly reached the roof, causing a collapse. Fortunately, the warehouse was quickly evacuated, and no one was injured. The company employs about thirty people, who escaped to safety. The Crema firefighters worked extensively to contain the flames. The plume of smoke was visible for several hours from kilometers away.

Regarding the cause , it appears the fire was started by a short circuit in an electrical panel that found easy ignition among the materials in the warehouse. Several explosions were heard outside, likely caused by the explosion of some batteries . Pianengo's mayor, Roberto Barbaglio , arrived on the scene and took care of the employees, since an ambulance from the Croce Verde di Soncino had also arrived with the firefighters: "Fortunately, no one was hurt, and that's already a positive thing. I'm sure the company will find the resources to resume work as quickly as possible."

Firefighters continued their work throughout the afternoon to secure the warehouse, which is currently uninhabitable, and to ensure all fires were extinguished to prevent any possible backfires.
