Spirit Airlines to Furlough 270 Pilots, Prepares to Cut More Flights

Spirit said it would furlough more pilots as it is looking to downsize its flight schedule, one of the many measures the carrier is taking to restore profitability.

Spirit Airlines said Monday that it would furlough 270 pilots as it looks to fly a smaller flight schedule and restore its profitability.

The furloughs will be effective November 1.
