World Cup LIVE: England beat Panama, Tuchel's new injury nightmare, Clarke QUITS Scotland

He missed a sitter earlier, but Yoane Wissa has just won his side a penalty which sparks fury on the benches.
The Newcastle United forward gets onto the end of a dangerous cross into the box as Man City defender Abdukodir Khusanov swings a lazy foot at the cross, but gets none of the ball.
He takes out Wissa who steps up and converts from the spot. DR Congo need one more goal to set up a clash with England!
Cristiano Ronaldo has a chance to put Portugal in front against Colombia, but his effort goes narrowly wide of the post.
Thankfully, from the Al Nassr star's point of view, the offside flag is raised so the goal wouldn't have stood anyway.
Portugal starting to create more chances here in Miami.
We're back playing between DR Congo and Uzbekistan. Newcastle United forward Yoane Wissa has just missed a golden opportunity to level the scores.
It's cut back to Wissa on the penalty spot after good play down the left flank, but he gets it completely wrong, and his shot goes out where the six-yard box meets the byline.
It's half-time in Atlanta, and DR Congo have it all to do in the second half if they want to reach the knockout stages of the World Cup.
As things stand, England will face Senegal if the score remains the same. Uzbekistan leads 1-0 at the break thanks to Eldor Shomurodov's goal in the tenth minute.
VAR ruled out a DR Congo equaliser and they've had the majority of possession, but haven't really threatened.
The half-time whistle has gone here in Miami and there's nothing to separate Colombia and Portugal, with the scoreline still goalless.
Both teams have had a couple of chances each, but neither side has managed to find the breakthrough.
All to play for in the second half.
Uzbekistan almost got off to the perfect start as Khamadamov stung the palms of Mpasi in the DR Congo goal, who could only bundle the ball into the path of Shomurodov. He finds the back of the net before the flag goes up.
That should have been a warning, and Shomurodov did break the deadlock in the tenth minute after a mix-up at the back between Mpasi and Wan-Bissaka.
DR Congo thought they had an equaliser after Mbuku scored a screamer, but VAR intervened and controversially disallowed the goal for a flailing arm catching Nasrullaev in the face in the build-up.
The African nation needs a win to reach the knockout stages of the competition.
DR Congo 0-1 Uzbekistan
Lots going on, isn't there? So much that you almost forget theres another round of games going on right now.
It's okay. Portugal haven't really shown up either - they have had two very luck escapes inside the first 20 minutes vs Colombia with Joao Cancelo just clearing a goalbound shot off the line....
That's where we could be heading!
That's because DR Congo are losing to Uzbekistan right now. Which means it would be England vs Senegal in Atalanta...

The World Cup Round of 32 fixtures as things stand
With Steve Clarke stepping down as Scotland manager, this was his final press conference in the post...
More on the shock breaking news from above.
Clarke cut a devastated figure following Scotland's 3-0 loss over Brazil which effectively left them needing a miracle to progress to the knockout phase.
But Scotland's manager had signed a four-year contract extension just last month after leading his country to the World Cup.
All of a sudden, Scotland are looking for a new manager.
Wow, some huge news breaking: Steve Clarke has stepped down from his post as Scotland manager.
The news follows confirmation that Scotland have been eliminated from the World Cup as a result of Croatia's victory over Ghana.

Thomas Tuchel insisted England's best is still to come after they toiled to a 2-0 win over Panama to win Group L.
The Three Lions went in goalless at the break but Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane scored to ensure England avoided a trickier Round of 32 tie.
And Tuchel is not only relishing the knockout phase, he is convinced England will rise to the challenge against the bigger teams.
"We did what was needed," he told ITV Sport.
"It was what we expected: a tough match against a physical opponent. They are a difficult team to score against and we were the only team to create this amount of chances and score twice.
"We were very aggressive, we had to be careful with counter attacks. We deserved to win, but it was a hard piece of work. There's more to build on, you have to get so many details right and it's an aggressive approach to defend the one-on-ones.
"The tournament starts again now in the knockouts. Now we collect our strengths and energy and build on what we have - we have the team spirit, fighting and belief. We will step up. The bigger the games get, the bigger we will get.
"Three days, then the next match in four days. It's not a problem, we love that and are good at that."

England fans hailed Harry Kane as he set a new World Cup goalscoring record, taking the team into the knockout stages.
Kane scored the second goal in a 2-0 victory over Panama to move onto 11 goals, beating Gary Lineker's long standing record of 10.
Alex Taylor, 25, a trainee teacher from London, said:
"It was not a great game until Bellingham's first goal. Then we had the old one-two, and Bellingham crossed for Harry Kane to wrap it up. He deserves the record and let's hope he can go on to score many more at this tournament."
His pal James Jackson, 25, also from Vauxhall, added:
"They laboured early on but we got there in the end. Once you are in the knockouts you really have to turn it on. But we are there as group winners."

England beat Panama 2-0 on Saturday night to secure their place at the top of World Cup group L and a potentially easier last-32 tie.
Jude Bellingham grabbed the headlines on a night where, after plenty of toil, he and Harry Kane scored the all important goals to ensure England avoided a night to forget in New Jersey.
Here are Mirror Football's talking points from the game...

By winning Group L, England will play in Atlanta on Wednesday July 1 at 5pm BST against one of the best third-placed teams from Group I, J or K.
At the moment DR Congo or Senegal are most likely to be England's opponents.

Oh, and just incase you were wondering. Scotland are out.
England fans have probably had worse Saturday nights...
Our chief football writer John Cross has give his verdict - but what are your England player ratings after tonight's victory?
Jordan Pickford 6
Some shaky moments in possession but was largely untroubled.
Jarell Quansah 6
England’s injury curse struck again. Another right back option down the pan. Went off hurt.
Ezri Konsa 6
Read the danger well but maybe England were exposed on the counter attack too often.
Marc Guehi 7
Tidied up, read the danger signs and showed a lot of composure. Has nailed his place.
Nico O’Reilly 6
Slotted into midfield and therefore you could not really criticise his output from the left.
Elliot Anderson 6
So good in possession, tidied up well and is clearly growing as a player. Let’s see if £116m is good value.
Jude Bellingham 8

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. He scored and provided an assist. England’s main man,
Bukayo Saka 7
Nice moments and some skill which was then rewarded with an assist from a corner.
Morgan Rogers 6
Got better but this was proof that if it’s either or with Bellingham there is only one winner.
Marcus Rashford 7
He was so much better than Gordon down the left. Was lively and dangerous. Justified selection.
Harry Kane 7
Broke Gary Lineker’s World Cup goals record as he got back on the score sheet. Big goal.
Substitutes
Madueke, for Saka, 63 mins, 6
Spence, for Quansah, 63 mins, 6
Eze, for Belingham, 71 mins
Full-time and it's job done for England.
It wasn't pretty at times. But second half goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane means England win Group L and advance to the Round of 32.
Now it's Eberechi Eze's turn to flirt with a third goal.
His shot from the edge of the box is deflected andddd...just drops wide of the far post.
Well then!
Just when it looks as though Panama have set up a grandstand finish with a goal, the offside flag is up to deny Jose Fajardo.

This is much more like it from England.Jude Bellingham was mocked for his "who else" celebration at Euro 2024 but truthfully, he has now stepped up twice at this World Cup when the Three Lions faced adversity. He scored in Dallas against Croatia and has now notched a goal and assist here when England looked like they were heading nowhere other than a frustrating and embarrassing draw. The Real Madrid maestro looked good in a deeper role but still made a difference in the final third. His pinpoint cross for Harry Kane was right on the money and it now seems absurd to think there was any kind of debate over his inclusion, pre-tournament.

Ah, it should be 3-0.
Marcus Rashford fluffs his lines at the back post after fine floated cross from Noni Madueke. Not that it matters too much in the grand scheme of things.
Less than 10 minutes to go and England are almost home and dry.
Has it been ultra convincing? Probably not. But it is worth taking into account England's best performance came against the best team in the group.
Either way, it's job done here. And it's smiles all round now.

And more celebrations from Boxpark as Harry Kane nudges out ahead of Gary Lineker in the England World Cup record books.
Jude Bellingham: turning jeers to cheers.
Great scenes at Wembley Boxpark after England's main man gave them the lead.
The good news is those goals made England's final hydration break of the group phase absolutely fly by.
Didn't even mind the Bon Jovi singalong.
It's 2-0...and it's Harry Kane!
A record-breaking one, too. His header means he comes England's all-time leading World Cup goalscorer, nudging one ahead of Gary Lineker.
And who set him up? Who else but Bellingham. Seriously, seriously class from England's two main men.
Did we all remain calm?!

From despair to delight!
Jude Bellingham has given England the lead from a corner, hooking in from six yards.
And just like that, can you feel it? England are BACK. We are top of the group and football is almost certainly coming home.

England have already got right-back issues. And now their stand-in right-back, Jarell Quansah is down with an ankle issue after a tackle.
He's coming off and will be replaced by Djed Spence. It remains to be seen what the prognosis is, but this could be a serious problem for Thomas Tuchel...
