Who is Angela Scanlon's rarely-seen husband and do they have children?

Angela Scanlon has opened up about life with her 'most stubborn' husband.
The Irish TV presenter - currently co-hosting the BBC's Eurovision Song Contest coverage - worked as a stylist and journalist before presenting on her local TV stations. She later worked as a reporter on BBC's The One Show and stood in as one of the main presenters when Alex Jones was on maternity leave.
Since then, she's had her own BBC Radio 2 show, hosted the BBC's Your Home Made Perfect, enjoyed a stint as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and hosted The Apprentice spin-off show.
But what about her time away from work? Here we take a look at her marriage and family life...
Angela, 42, is originally from County Meath and now lives in London with her husband Roy Horgan, whom she wed in 2014.
While Angela keeps her fans updated with snippets of her family life on her official Instagram account, her husband prefers to stay away from the limelight and is rarely seen on any photographs.
According to an article in Evoke, Roy, who hails from Co Cork, is the CEO of SES-imagotag plc for the UK and Ireland.
On their four-year anniversary, the presenter shared a picture from their big day, captioning it: "Four years ago today, I married this absolute nugget of a human under a tree with all our favourite people heckling. The kindest, smartest, most stubborn man I know. The yin to my yang. The steak to my tofu (or something)... My [world emoji]."
While Roy is rarely pictured, Angela is also known for posting funny videos on her Instagram, one of which is a video series titled: 'Things my husband hates but I love and am not getting rid of'.
In one of her clips, Angela tries on a glittery shawl and matching blue skirt. "It's a midi," explains an enthused Angela, "but weirdly flirty… this little puppy's out to party!"
In February 2018, the pair welcomed their eldest daughter, Ruby Ellen. They went on to welcome a second daughter called Marnie Fae in February 2022.
At the time of Marnie's birth, Angela posted the sweetest update on Instagram writing: "Marnie Fae Horgan 11.2.22 [sparkle emoji] Chapped lips & chapped nips can only mean one thing… Our little woman has arrived!! We are besotted."
Angela, who has previously spoken about her 15-year battle with eating disorders anorexia and bulimia, has shared how becoming a mum has improved her mental and physical health.
“Before I had kids, my approach was very much that my body was to be preened, presented and punished. It was almost somewhat separate from me,” she said in a previous interview with The Mirror.
“But I think having children changed how I viewed my body and I became more compassionate, more appreciative and more in awe of what it does every single day. I became more gentle in my approach – my body was to be cared for and appreciated rather than punished or insulted.”
On her show Ask Me Anything, Angela discovered she's not the only famous face in her family - she's distantly related to actor and comedian Stephen Mangan.
Episodes star Stephen was appearing on the TV programme when Angela said: "So I heard, like, whispers that maybe we were related. Then I thought, you know, my dad's from Mayo. Maybe it was just one of those, 'Ah, he's on telly, so are you' and you're both from Mayo, kind of..."
She then read out a note, telling Stephen: "So this message is from my dad's Auntie Katie's daughter. 'Mary Mangan,' she says, 'Mine and Phelim - that's my dad's grandmother - was a sister to Michael Mangan'."
"My great grandfather!" Stephen exclaimed. "Your great-grandfather?" asked Angela, looking stunned. "So that makes us?" "Third cousins once removed!" Stephen announced.
Eurovision Song Contest semi-final is on Thursday, may 14 on BBC One at 8pm and the final is on Saturday, May 16 at 8pm
