GB News in digital ID car crash as Beverley Turner clashes with furious guest

GB News host Bev Turner clashed with political commentator Andy Williams as he defended the concept of Digital ID, something that has been deemed increadibly controversial since Prime Minister Keir Starmer first discussed implementing it. The clash followed a debate on the King's Speech as Andy stated that there "wasn't anything spectacular" in the statement as the likes of the welfare bill or "really serious tangible issues" was discussed. However, he did support King Charles III's stance on digital ID and stated he believed it should be introduced as soon as tomorrow.
On multiple occassions, Bev tried to interject as she made her thoughts clear in how baffled she was by his stance, but Andy maintained that things would become far easier such as tax returns, benefits, and more. He started to say that it shocked him that people who were against migrants were against Digital ID as Bev fumed: "Oh you have drunk the cool aid!"
She hit back at him: "Let me ask you a question, do you like being controlled. Just answer me that question simply. Do you like being controlled?" But he responded to say it wasn't a control tactic and she asked once again if he could answer on a personal level, adding: "Do you like being controlled? Do you like being told what to do?"
However, Andy ignored the question and stated his concern isn't about control and if it were to be approved his primary concern would be regarding how securely data would be held and said discussions would need to be had on making sure there wouldn't be a huge leak of data.
Bev then asked him if he liked Nigel Farage, to which Andy immediately told her he didn't, prompting her to say: "Imagine the power in the hands of Nigel Farage and not your lovely cuddly Labour Party who are all benevolent."
She then told him to consider the various parties in charge having the ability to look through his socials, to watch him on GB News and see him say something they don't like, and limit his access to things.
Andy responded once again to state that there would need to be discussions around the rules, adding: "You have to put a safeguard in place. In every country that it's been implemented it has made peoples lives easier." He defended it by stating how helpful it would be to bring it in.
However, at that moment it seemed the host had enough as she begged her co-star to step in before she had an "absolute menty b".
