The Pays de Fayence Football Club is expanding with the arrival of a sports director

The season isn't over yet, but the president of the Football Club du Pays de Fayence (FCPF), Thierry Pedrazzoli, is already thinking about the next season and the future of the club. To do this, he has decided to create a sporting director position in order to restructure the club, which, according to him, "lacks a decent management team." He has therefore called on Ludovic Pollet, who is no stranger to the world of football.
Alongside Zidane, Vieira, Micoud…At 55, this former professional player holds a higher coaching diploma (DES), which allows him to coach up to National 2 level. Trained at AS Cannes alongside players such as Zinédine Zidane, Patrick Vieira and Johan Micoud, under the direction of Guy Lacombe, it was there that he signed his first professional contract before leaving for Le Havre for four years, before joining the Wolverhampton club in England until 2003.
"I enjoyed English football for its commitment, authenticity and fair play in the matches."
And as a coach? "I started in Dunkirk where I brought the team back up to CFA, then Tarbes, before returning to Cannes, first in regional 2, then in charge of the national U19s. And in 2023, I worked in Switzerland for the Sion club with David Bettoni, also a former Cannes player."
"Changing the image of the FCPF"What will his role be at FCPF? "To pass on my passion for football to young people to help them progress, so that they come to training with a smile, and so that, within two to three years, the level of all the teams improves. All this with respect, values, and rigor, because my role is to ensure that we succeed in this real challenge, which is to change the image of FCPF, which today no longer fits with the values of a club from a region worthy of the name."
Suffice it to say that these words reinforce President Thierry Pedrazzoli's choice of new sporting director, who confirmed to us that he "does not want to take on the role of coach."
Training coursesThe president explains: "We want to give a new starting point to the club, which currently has 420 members in all categories, including 300 young people under 18, which places us at the top of the youth sports scene in the Pays de Fayence region."
What about the seniors? "Team 1 plays in departmental 3 and will certainly finish 3rd in its group, but only the top two will move up to departmental 2."
The arrival of Ludovic Pollet "will bring skills to the instructors who will be completing training courses to obtain their first diploma, which will allow them to make their training sessions more attractive."
