The football club united in emotion and memory

On Saturday, July 26, the SC (Sporting Club) Jussey stadium resonated with a special fervor. Players, managers, families, and supporters gathered for the second edition of the Kélyan Trophy, in tribute to Kélyan Russo Sigler, who left us far too soon in 2023.
Kélyan is the son of Kevin Russo, a long-time senior player at SC Jussey, and Christine Russo Sigler, a well-known figure at the club. He is also the grandson of Marie-Christine, a dedicated coach of the U7 and U9 teams for several years. At the tragic passing of Kélyan, the emotion deeply affected all the management, players, and supporters, who expressed their immense sadness and unwavering solidarity with the family.
In 2024, with the approval of his loved ones, the first edition of the Kélyan Trophy was born. This year, the club wanted to repeat this moment of remembrance. For the occasion, 30 players and managers responded to the call for a unique and colorful match: the managers, in blue, led by Christine, against the seniors, in yellow, led by Kévin. More than a match, it was a true moment of communion. In the stands, the supporters, who came in large numbers, vibrated, shared, and supported with palpable kindness.
After a friendly match filled with laughter, emotion, and camaraderie, the senior team prevailed and took home the trophy. The presentation of the cup to Kévin was a powerful moment, full of symbolism and emotion, in the presence of Kalya and Célia, Kélyan's two sisters. Through this event, SC Jussey once again proved that football is much more than a sport; it's a family, united in joys and hardships alike. The Kélyan Trophy will continue, year after year, to keep the memory of this little angel alive, in the warmth of hearts.
