At almost 21 years old, the Parisian who has been promoted since 2023, French number one with real ambitions after a very consistent start to the year, is raising a lot of hope in the French camp for the Parisian Roland-Garros tournament which opens this Sunday, May 25.
Roland-Garros is like the Tour de France. The Tour de France has been waiting for its French winner for forty years and for Bernard Hinault's last exploit (his fifth Tour in 1985). The ochre earth of the Porte d'Auteuil has been pining for its triumphant tricolor for forty-two years and for Yannick Noah's consecration (his only Grand Slam in 1983). In both cases, it is probably not this year that the divine surprise will occur.
