Alexandre Oukidja announced the end of his adventure with the club a few days ago on social media : " Dear supporters, managers, staff, and colleagues, I wish you all the success in the world. My page with FC Metz is turning, but I will forever remain a fervent supporter of FC Metz. Thank you for everything," wrote the Algerian international. The Moselle club made this end official late Friday morning.

Arriving in 2018 on the banks of the Moselle, Alexandre Oukidja has played more than 200 matches in the Grenat jersey. The 36-year-old goalkeeper lost his starting spot this winter, after an up-and-down first half marked by some costly errors. But Arnaud Bodart, his replacement in goal, also announced that he was leaving the Lorrainers , which forced the Metz management to recruit for this position. For the moment, the only goalkeeper under contract is Pape Sy.
