Jose Mourinho could already leave Turkey and coach this legendary club

The famous Portuguese coach is reportedly about to leave Turkey to join this club which is entering a new era.

After playing for 11 clubs during his career, José Mourinho is reportedly set to leave Fenerbahçe to join a legendary club. The Portuguese coach, who won two Champions League titles (in 2004 with Porto and then in 2010 with Inter), could be tempted to join a new league, taking a seat at Glasgow Rangers.

Currently second in the Scottish Premier League behind historic rivals Celtic, Glasgow is about to embark on a new chapter in its history with the imminent arrival of new owners, and not just any new owner, 49ers Enterprises. It is possible that the new management will be looking at a renowned coach, as club icon Kris Boyd explained to The Sun : " My instinct is that the management will bet on a prestigious coach to open a new chapter ."

These new American investors are said to have great ambitions: to regain leadership in the Scottish championship and place themselves at the forefront of the European scene. To achieve this, the club would like to modernize its management with a versatile coach, as Boyd explains: " The future coach will have the role of head coach, more than an old-style manager. The model is evolving and the club is part of this dynamic ."

In this regard, two profiles stand out: Steven Gerrard and José Mourinho. The former, who already spent time at the club between 2018 and 2021, led Rangers to a national title with an unbeaten season. The Englishman, who already knows the club well, is still very well regarded by the fans and could be a credible candidate, in addition to that of the "Special One," who could allow the club to shift to a stronger international influence with his extensive experience at the highest level. The Portuguese coach could thus try to win, why not, a ninth national title in a fifth different country.
