Departing Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma greeted the Parc des Princes fans who paid tribute to him on Friday after the 1-0 victory over Angers. The Italian, whose future destination is still unknown, was absent from the squad for the third consecutive time, following the recruitment of former Lille player Lucas Chevalier.

A week and a half ago, describing himself as "disappointed and saddened," Gianluigi Donnarumma said he hoped "to have the opportunity to look the Parc des Princes supporters in the eye one last time and say goodbye properly ."

On Friday evening, dressed in his street clothes, Gianluigi Donnarumma walked, escorted by his teammates and staff, toward the Auteuil Ultras stand and the Boulogne stand. He received a long welcome, and his teammates made a point of surrounding and hugging him. He was then applauded by the entire stadium.

Coach Luis Enrique, who admitted he had made the decision to part ways with Donnarumma, reacted in a press conference: "It's always nice to see the support of the fans, I understand that this is a special moment for 'Gigio'. It's difficult for everyone to deal with this, but it's nice to see this feeling of trust and recognition with the fans."

PSG also displayed on the pitch the five trophies won in 2025: Champions League, European Super Cup, Ligue 1, Coupe de France and Champions Trophy.
