French Athletics Championships: the decima for Var's Lolassonn Djouhan in the discus throw

His first throw of 61.07m was enough for Lolassonn Djouhan to secure his tenth (!) French championship title on Friday in Talence (Gironde). "It means I'm getting older," jokes the man who celebrated his 34th birthday in May. "I'm happy to bring home another title. I want to win them every time."
The discus thrower, who trains at Creps Paca in Boulouris, won ahead of Marc-Alexandre Delin (59.53m) and his training partner Jordan Guehaseim (56.11m).
"I did the job," the adopted Varois commented soberly. "I didn't exert myself because I'm still a bit bothered by my adductor. I managed to win as I wanted by leading from start to finish."
The French record holder (70.25m) already has his sights set on the world championships in Tokyo, from September 13 to 21. "The goal was to gain confidence by throwing far from the first three attempts ," analyzes the Orléans native. "The attitude is there." In Japan, he will once again be accompanied by Jordan Guehaseim.
