Champions League Final: In Munich, an almost normal match eve

PSG and Inter Milan took possession of the venues in Germany on Friday without exaggerating the excitement.

In Munich, excitement is mounting as the hours pass. Under a blazing sun, which promises to redouble its strength on Saturday, the first Inter and PSG jerseys appeared on the streets of the Bavarian city on Friday, May 30, the eve of the Champions League final . With a nice advantage for the Italian fans, who arrived earlier, as for the traditional exercise of the eve-of-match press conference.
On the stage, coach Simone Inzaghi and his leading lights, captain Nicolo Barella and striker Lautaro Martinez, took part in the exercise without being overly enthusiastic about it and, above all, without going too far outside the box. There wasn't much to get your teeth into. The Italian coach didn't escape the clichés: "We know that every match is different. We tried to look at every detail with hard work." He did, however, confirm that Benjamin Pavard was "in shape" and would play in the final.
The trend was confirmed in training. The French defender wore a bib, along with the other 10 expected starters. Everything indicates that he will resume his place in Inter's three-man defense, relegating Yann Bisseck to the bench. The Nerazzurri's starting eleven seems to be in doubt, even if Simone Inzaghi admitted that he still has "some questions."

The same sentiment applies to PSG, with one exception. As has been the case for many weeks, the identity of the striker who will accompany Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is uncertain. Désiré Doué and Bradley Barcola are in competition. The latter was a starter in the capital club's last two matches (the former was not against Auxerre and only made the starting eleven in the Coupe de France final due to Kvaratskhelia's last-minute withdrawal) and could have a head start.
In training, Luis Enrique didn't dispel the doubt. The Spanish coach shuffled the teams during the match and added jokers with different bib colors. "We're not going to talk about the strategy in a press conference," Ousmane Dembélé had warned in a press conference a few minutes earlier. "The final details are already ready. No one has anything left to do. We just have to stay balanced, stay focused and avoid overdoing it in motivation," reassured Marquinhos , preparing the ground for his coach.
"The idea is to prepare for any scenario. We know how to manage that well, we've done it throughout the season (...). The fact that it was tough at the beginning is now an advantage for us. Throughout this Champions League, we've played finals all the time. We're ready," Luis Enrique added. His players maintained the same lightness as in the previous rounds. We could almost forget that PSG is on the eve of the most important match in its history and a first title in the most prestigious club competition.
