Carlo Ancelotti is expected to step down as Real Madrid 's coach next season. Starting next June, the Italian coach is expected to become Brazil's coach, according to The Athletic. This is a bold move, as it seemed Ancelotti would see out his contract with the White House (which expires at the end of next season). Ultimately, the Italian will not even be on the Real Madrid bench for the Club World Cup. As a reminder, Carlo Ancelotti had two stints at Real Madrid, first from 2013 to 2015, and then since 2017. His record with Madrid speaks for itself, with three Champions League and two La Liga titles.

Behind the scenes, Carlo Ancelotti is said to have made it a priority to inform the players, who are already aware of their coach's departure this summer. While meetings are scheduled between the coach's agent and the Madrid management to finalize the details of their separation, Florentino Perez will have to work on his successor. Xabi Alonso is reportedly a priority, but the Spanish coach is still under contract with Bayer Leverkusen. Recently, a lead leading to Raul, the current Castilla coach and an expert on the club, had been heating up.
