Boga unlocked everything, OGC Nice player ratings after their 1-0 win against Nantes

Diouf (6): he had a rather quiet match but was able to respond to a few Nantes incursions (11', 17', 90'). A first clean sheet is always good for confidence.
Oppong (6): Valuable and sharp in his projections in the first period (2', 20'), he gave up space behind him on a few Nantes transitions. This is all the room for improvement for a promising young defender.
Bah (5): He finished the match well after botching a few duels in the first half. He sometimes overcompensated for his lack of speed in the first few steps with some crude hand clashes, which earned him a warning.
Dante (6): Imperious until his departure in favor of Gouveia (75'), the Commandante brought the experience, the serenity and the quality of first clearance that his team cruelly lacked in the last matches played without him. The Portuguese, who came on in the left flank, showed his attacking drive and his quality of percussion.
Clauss (6): without putting in a great performance or being decisive, the right-back was very involved in the vast majority of Nice's attacks. His wing was the most used and he proved himself up to the task. His well-taken free kick could have fooled Lopes (22').
Vanhoutte (7): he brought the balance that the team was lacking and also allowed Boga to open the scoring with his high recovery and follow-up run. With sobriety and efficiency, he also plugged the gaps with his positioning and facilitated the ball coming back with his one or two touch play, without depriving himself of looking for verticality (76'). A performance from a leader for a first in his new colors, it's promising.
Boudaoui (5): The Algerian will have to get used to having a slightly easier time on the pitch alongside Vanhoutte. Called upon more for attacking input, he failed to find the right space or shot to threaten the Nantes rearguard. Louchet replaced him for the final ten minutes.
Bard (6): sober and efficient too, he was practically never caught out. Dante's support did him a lot of good too.
Diop (5): he touched wood (19') and tried to steer a few offensive situations, without any real success. Preferred to Jansson for the first time this season on the right flank, he showed desire but generally lacked accuracy with the lack of rhythm. He gave way to Sanson (62'), who thought he had scored on a cutback from Moffi, who was offside at the start.
Carlos (4): his diving header is beyond reproach (2'), unlike his chest control which prevents him from better negotiating his one-on-one with Lopes (35'). Mobile, he was more visible in the fallback, the conservation and the drawing of fouls in the Nice half than on the other side of the field. It's annoying for a number nine, replaced by Moffi (62'). The Nigerian immediately forces Lopes to relax with his header (63'), but fails to convert Jansson's good cross (84') when he is not offside. A guilty pleasure that he must correct.
Boga (7): Not very alert or inspired in the first half, he came out of his box with a powerful strike with the ball at his feet that very few teammates are capable of. A feat that woke him up, with a dangerous curling shot (61') and a header that went just wide (68'). Replaced by Jansson (75'), who opened the way to the goal but Lopes blocked his cross shot (85').

He found some composure at the back with Dante, and some balance with Vanhoutte as well. His changes helped maintain his superiority throughout the game.
