"It's a little-known discipline": this Sunday, come and discover archery in 3D in Saint-Raphaël

This Sunday, June 22, will be a day of celebration for archers, a little less so for targets... Indeed, the members of the Compagnie Raphaëloise de tir à l'arche have mobilized to organize on its large grounds, in the pine forest of Valescure, the departmental championship of Var of selective 3D shooting at the French championship.

Coming from several regions of France, the archers will compete on a rugged natural course, open and wooded behind the Hôtel du Golf de Valescure. "We have a site that allows the reception of the public, a rare opportunity to discover 3D archery. An invitation to discover a sporting discipline little known to the general public. Flights of arrows in the morning, flights of arrows in the afternoon for the archers who are grouped into squads of 3 to 5 shooters. The contenders for the title will have to hit the twenty-four rubber targets placed at a distance that the archer must evaluate, from 7 to 45 m depending on the category. The targets: representing life-size artificial animals of various sizes distributed throughout the domain" , underlines the president Francesco Santoro. "We will have the pleasure of welcoming the world champion, Elodie Barré and her husband, Benjamin Barré, vice-world champion as well as several internationally renowned archers" , specifies the president.

Learn more On July 13, the traditional friendly 3D competition will be on the program on the same site.
