Oppo Reno 14: the company relies on AI and night photography to stand out

In a mid-range segment dominated by Samsung and Google, Oppo is looking to establish itself by unveiling the new Oppo Reno 14 5G. The smartphone boasts a sleek, slim design while emphasizing photography to appeal to a discerning audience that loves beautiful shots.
Available in two colors, opal white and luminous green, the Oppo Reno 14 is very thin at 7.4mm thick and weighs just 187g. The smartphone still packs a large 6000mAh battery, supported by 12GB of RAM and a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor to handle your games and apps. While it's not a high-end chip, it should be sufficient for everyday use. The Oppo Reno 14 also supports fast charging up to 80W, but not wireless charging.

On the display side, the Oppo Reno 14 5G features a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. This should ensure smooth operation when navigating between multiple apps or playing games with lots of animations. Maximum brightness is listed at 1200 nits.
Oppo goes all out on AI and photographyIn addition to these features, the Oppo Reno 14 5G focuses on AI-powered photography. The smartphone features three rear cameras and a selfie camera with the following configurations:
- Main sensor: 50 Mpx
- Ultra wide angle sensor: 8 Mpx
- 3.5x telephoto lens: 50 Mpx
In addition to these specificities, Oppo announces that it has worked on AI to boost night photography and its "AI Flash photography" technology which improves subjects captured with the phone's flash in low light.
