Beauvais Cathedral (Oise) is celebrating its 800th anniversary with a series of celebrations, including three "Cathedral Nights" in May, June and September, and the reopening of two museums, the Mudo-Musée de l'Oise and Le Quadrilatère, after their highly successful renovation.
In Beauvais, putting the church back at the center of the village is an expression to be taken literally. To mark the 800th anniversary of its cathedral, the Oise prefecture is taking the opportunity to offer a new look to the neighborhood surrounding the Gothic building: a restoration and preservation project for Saint-Pierre de Beauvais, an artistic program celebrating its anniversary, and the renovation and redevelopment of the two museums surrounding it (the Mudo-Musée de l'Oise and Le Quadrilatère).
