Launched in 1972, the Soviet probe Cosmos 482 , intended to explore Venus, will re-enter Earth's atmosphere between Friday, May 9, and Sunday, May 11, 2025. While part of the craft should disintegrate upon re-entry into the atmosphere, its half-ton armored capsule could fall back almost intact.
