Stephen Miller's Revenge Against Los Angeles
He is the ideologue behind the White House tenant's anti-migrant policy. Born and raised in the progressive enclave of Santa Monica, in Los Angeles County, Trump's deputy chief of staff is now taking the opportunity to take a personal revenge against California and everything it represents, points out the Los Angeles Times.
On the palm-lined streets overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica, thousands of people rallied on June 14 to voice their discontent with the Trump administration, as part of the many demonstrations dubbed “No Kings Day.” organized throughout the country.
In this coastal city in western Los Angeles County, protesters also had a personal message to convey:
“Dear America, we are sorry.”
“Santa Monica apologizes for Stephen Miller,” read a hand-scrawled sign by a bearded man wearing a straw hat. “Don’t forget where you came from, Stephen Miller!” another sign proclaimed. Others were more explicit, including a string of well-aimed insults attached to the White House deputy chief of staff.
Within President Trump's inner circle, Stephen Miller is one of the few who has lasted the long haul.
