Saint-Étienne: Dino Cinieri files complaint against LFI MP after his comments against the police

Dino Cinieri, honorary deputy and regional councilor (LR), cannot stand the attack on the national police. As soon as he read the comments written in a post on X (ex-Twitter) by La France Insoumise deputy Aurélien Taché ("The police are killing everywhere"), he once again rushed to the Fauriel central police station in Saint-Etienne to file a complaint.
This is not the first time. In 2021, the MP had already filed a complaint against Philippe Poutou , president of the New Anti-Capitalist Party (NPA), who had made similar comments.
A second complaint was filed in 2024, against a member of parliament for La France Insoumise, Sébastien Delogu, who had made comments considered defamatory against representatives of the Alliance union. These two complaints were dismissed without further action.
But Dino Cinieri is not budging: "For the first time, a prefect, the prefect of Val-d'Oise Philippe Court, has filed a complaint for these comments, which he considers defamatory and false. So I am hopeful."
He concludes: "Today, police officers and firefighters are already very often attacked. We do not have the right to incite hatred against them. A parliamentarian must speak wisely, in a spirit of coherence and of living together."
