Lyon: As the elections approach, Grégory Doucet will present his report to the people of Lyon

Lyon's Green mayor, Grégory Doucet, will once again visit Lyon's nine arrondissements to present his mandate report, less than a year before the elections.
The context will not play in his favor, but the Green mayor of Lyon, Grégory Doucet, had promised, he returns to the gymnasiums and municipal halls to be accountable to the people of Lyon. A few weeks after a police custody , while the work is in full swing in the city, and the candidacy of Jean-Michel Aulas in the municipal elections is gaining momentum, the mayor certainly does not expect to be welcomed with open arms.
In 2023, he had already taken part in the exercise mid-term in a sometimes tense atmosphere . " After sixty months, the time has come to take stock, " the mayor wrote on his social networks. He added: " Lyon is reinventing itself. There is no doubt that the urban metamorphosis that is taking place is not experienced uniformly. A space for discussion must exist to formulate it. I would like to meet with residents to discuss and measure together the progress made since 2020. "
The mayor knows that cycle paths, traffic jams, and roadworks will become his nightmare during these two weeks of public meetings. A meeting will be held in each district of Lyon from May 26 to June 12, while 21 "meeting points" will also be set up in public spaces where municipal officials will also come to report to residents.
It should also be noted that, starting Tuesday, May 6, it will be possible to respond to a questionnaire on the Oyé platform. " A panel of Lyon residents was brought together to co-construct a questionnaire. The themes, questions, and ideas presented in the questionnaire are the result of this work ," the community indicates.
