Good morning! We are with you this afternoon to follow, live, the decisions of the Constitutional Council on the Duplomb law.
- The Sages have released their long-awaited conclusions on the Duplomb law, which is controversial due to the conditional reintroduction of a banned pesticide.
- Presented as a response to the major agricultural protests of 2024 and supported by farmers' unions, the Duplomb law is contested by associations and many elected officials . A petition calling for its repeal has also gathered more than 2.1 million signatures.
- The Constitutional Council will also rule on three other texts: the reform of municipal elections in Paris, Lyon and Marseille; the "refoundation" law of Mayotte; and the extension of administrative detention for certain foreigners.
