Les Baroches. The farmhouse brasserie opens its doors, with a gold medal to discover

A small gold cockade adorns the label of La Troliotte ambrée. “Yes, it's the little gift of the year. We received the gold medal at the Lyon International Competition in the Light Amber category. It remains a prestigious competition,” smiles Hervé-Pierre Hypolite. “I opened my brewery in 2019. Today, I've won a great distinction.” This Sunday, September 14, the farmer-brewer will offer tastings of his little gem and explain the entire journey to get there.
The gold medal is a long-term reward. " I grow the cereals that will later be brewed . A very small part of my harvest, about 3 tons of barley and wheat, is destined for La Troliotte," explains Hervé-Pierre Hypolite. And it is perhaps in his cultivation method that the golden aroma, that of healthy soil, lies hidden. "During the open house, I will already be talking about soil conservation and sustainable agriculture. Then, I will present the seeds, the sowing, the harvest and I will give a tour of the brewery."

While beers have found a special place on the French table today, Hervé-Pierre Hypolite will invite other producers to present the fruits of their labor. "There will be a small local market in the farm shed. You will find preserves and jams from the Légumerie des Baroches, honey, cow and goat cheese, pâté, and wine. There will also be around ten local artisans, including blacksmiths, wood turners, candle makers, and others." New for this edition, the Immonville Childminders' Association will join the day by organizing a flea market in the farmyard. "There will also be activities for children, wooden games and a bouncy castle. And of course, music with Mike and Jessy Leone, in the late afternoon."
