I subscribeFrançois Bayrou was overwhelmingly ousted on Monday, September 8: only 194 MPs expressed confidence, while 364 expressed distrust. But the sum of the opposition does not make a majority. However, France is not Germany, where a majority of parliamentarians can only overthrow a government if it proposes an alternative governing majority. Here, no governmental solution has emerged from this opposition front, which ranges from Mathilde Panot (LFI) to Marine Le Pen (RN), via Olivier Faure (PS) and Aurélien Pradié (LR). However, all political forces are putting forward their own solution to break the impasse.
