An RN regional employee sees his salary increase, the Rhône prefect tries to oppose it
The new regional secretary general of the National Rally has received a 42% pay raise. The Rhône prefect has taken legal action.
At the end of March, Rhône Prefect Fabienne Buccio brought the matter before the Lyon Administrative Court. As revealed by our colleagues at Médiacités , she opposes the 42% salary increase of Martin Kuolt, a member of the National Rally group in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region for 15 years and promoted to secretary general last September. According to the prefect, the job promotion alone cannot justify this increase.
The regional council, his employer from an administrative perspective, believes that the request for a salary increase was justified and based on the evolution of his duties. This point has not been contradicted by the courts.

In a decision dated April 18, consulted by Médiacités , the administrative court of Lyon ruled against the prefecture, explaining that the president of each group of elected officials " decides the conditions and methods of execution of the service " of his collaborators. The interim relief judge, who can only suspend manifestly illegal acts, therefore ruled against the Rhône prefect.
But the latter has also filed a substantive appeal, the decision of which is not expected for several months. A case to be continued, therefore.
