Psychology. Back-to-school blues: how to calmly prepare for the return to work?

Summer vacation is coming to an end, and for many of us, it's time to head back to the office. This return to routine can often be accompanied by a feeling of melancholy and a lack of motivation, commonly referred to as the "back-to-school blues." Here are some tips to help ease the transition.
The first few days after returning to work are often accompanied by a feeling of boredom and difficulty getting down to business. First piece of advice: readjust your expectations. Remember that while vacations are enjoyable, work also has its benefits. Beyond the financial aspect, it can be a source of personal satisfaction and social interaction.
Set simple goalsFor your first week back at work, take it easy. Set realistic and simple goals. Plan your time so you can achieve them without overloading yourself. And don't forget to schedule some fun times outside of work to make the summer last a little longer (a drink on a terrace with friends, etc.).
Tip 3: Maintain healthy routinesWhile on vacation, you probably adopted healthier habits: more sleep, more physical activity, less screen time… Try to carry some of these good habits into your work routine. This could include going to bed earlier, sharing a meal with loved ones, or limiting your social media consumption.
Plan your next “break”One of the best ways to keep your spirits up is to have something to look forward to. Start planning your next long weekend. The anticipation of a pleasant time can help keep your spirits up.
