Singer Louane, 28, announced in a YouTube interview that she suffers from ankylosing spondylitis, like 180,000 people in France.
The French national who represented France at the last Eurovision Song Contest (she finished in seventh place) explained that it was "a degenerative autoimmune disease of the joints" which results in painful flare-ups during "crises" in the spine and pelvis. "It's simple, we talk, I'm in pain, but I'm used to it," she said, adding that she was taking anti-inflammatory medication to relieve it.
