DECRYPTION - The combined valuations of Canal+, Havas, Louis Hachette, and the remaining assets of Vivendi are far from reaching the €16 billion estimated before the split. The Bolloré group is now facing several regulatory proceedings.
Just seven months ago, they were united under the Vivendi banner. Canal+, Havas, and Louis Hachette Group published their half-year results this week, the first since the split of the conglomerate controlled by the Bolloré group. The former subsidiaries, which have become autonomous, are posting solid performances against a backdrop of macroeconomic turbulence.
Following a first half year rich in strategic repositioning, the encrypted channel generated €3 billion in revenue. This represents a 0.9% increase year-on-year, "excluding the impact of the termination of the partnership with Disney and the discontinuation of C8." Its adjusted operating profit stood at €246 million, down 21.6% year-on-year, due to the exceptional impact of last year's acquisition of OCS.
