Back to school in Dordogne: gîtes are taking care of their exteriors

Like private individuals, places open to the public seek to enhance their exteriors, with beautiful landscaping or a swimming pool
Private individuals don't have the luxury of a swimming pool and a beautiful garden. Businesses, tourist attractions, and especially bed and breakfasts also want to make a good impression with a well-kept exterior. This trend is recent, notes Jérôme Granger, manager of Côté jardin Dordogne, located in Vergt.
"When you think of gîtes and B&Bs, you think of swimming pools and gardens," he sums up. "We've regularly had this type of clientele since Covid, and people looking to enhance their buildings. And we have more and more bars and restaurants that want to improve their terraces, to do something nicer so that customers aren't just sitting around a table."
Create ambiance and/or stand out. Pools are also popular with vacationers, as are spas, which are designed for relaxation. Oualid Medini, who offers them at Maxima Piscines, believes that spa sales are also maintained thanks to these rental locations that position the equipment outdoors or indoors.
