A historic jackpot: 250 million euros won in France

Unbeknownst to anyone, a millionaire was born yesterday evening. After 17 unsuccessful draws, the maximum prize was won in France: 250 million euros , enough to buy a life of luxury with sports cars, Michelin-starred restaurants, and jewelry.

And you, what would you do with such a sum? We asked you the question in Marseille a few months ago during a previous big prize: "So, if I won a lot, I would buy a house, things for my children. Travel. Go around the world. Really." or " I would help my family, help certain associations like those that take care of dogs, abandoned children, battered children and women too."

This sum is the largest ever won in France. The previous record dates back to 2021: a Polynesian woman won €220 million, an even more impressive amount in Pacific francs. She was playing for the first time and had filled in her ticket at random.

The winner now has 60 days to come forward. Otherwise, the €250 million prize will go to the Française des Jeux.
