7 billion euros are lying dormant at the Caisse des Dépôts: are you affected?

According to Moneyvox, 7 billion euros are currently sitting at the Caisse des Dépôts, and among this sum, there could be money that belongs to you without you even knowing it.
Whether it's a bank account, a savings account, or a life insurance policy, if no transactions are made for 10 years, the account is considered inactive. The funds are then transferred to the Caisse des Dépôts.
From that point on, you have 20 years to recover your money. After that time, the money is permanently returned to the state and lost forever.
These forgotten accounts could be savings you inherited without knowing it, a salary savings account left behind after a job change... Or simply a personal account you haven't touched for years.

It's simple and free: go to the CICLADE platform, the official service for finding forgotten amounts. Click on "start my search." Provide some personal information: name, date of birth, etc. In a few seconds, you'll know if the Caisse des Dépôts has found money in your name. If an account is found, simply provide your bank details (IBAN), and a few days later, the money will arrive in your account.
Last year, more than 90,000 French people recovered their funds, for a total of €152 million, or an average of €1,700 per person. It's worth checking out.
But beware of scams. Caisse des Dépôts will never contact you by phone, text message, or email to tell you that you have money to recover. If you receive this type of message, ignore it immediately and never give out your personal information. Only the official CICLADE platform is safe for recovering your forgotten funds.
