Every year during the two summer months, sales of puzzles and, more generally, gaming publications experience a peak. This trend has continued year after year.
By Brice RocherIt's a summer staple, just like ice cream cones, sunglasses, or pétanque games in espadrilles. Every year, crossword puzzles in particular, but also the entertainment press in general, find their way into tourists' beach bags, alongside sunscreen and a packet of petits-beurres.
"I only get out my crossword puzzles or sudokus during the holidays when I go to the seaside or the swimming pool. I don't know why, but I associate it with vacations," says Damien, a resident of Angers (Maine-et-Loire).
