Two new 36mm collections for Genius Watches

The young, iconoclastic brand launched in 2020 in Lugano is seizing the trend for smaller diameter watches this summer.
Skip the ad Skip the adWhat happens when a long-time collector of watches by Gérald Genta takes the plunge and creates his own brand? The result is Genius Watches, a surprising concept, a "50/50" or "half-and-half" watch combining two major references in the history of watchmaking and two types of straps in a single case. The most elegant detail: undoubtedly its hidden crown, integrated into the caseband for a cleaner line. But the most surprising thing, after a few years of existence of this young Swiss brand, is to see how much this watch can appeal to customers who are simply unfamiliar with the history of the great watchmaking houses and their iconic pieces. It just goes to show that we buy a watch because we like it, even if we don't even know its origins and history. After its 39 mm models, Genius Watches is taking advantage of the summer to unveil two new collections for both women and men, Idiofyia 36 and Génie 36, 36 mm in diameter and 7.5 mm thick, available in countless color options and material combinations, between steel and silicone. Incidentally, Genius Watches has also chosen to use synthetic diamonds to set its pieces. Osaka, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Qatar, Bruges… Each city has its own Idiofyia 36 model and its color variation, between chocolate, praline, denim blue, orange, turquoise, pink or gray. Count on €840 for these new models, €1340 for the models set with 42 large synthetic diamonds of 1.26 carats.
Firth Avenue, Saint-Moritz, Osaka, Monaco, New York… The Génie model, with a 316 L steel case and bracelet, is available in six non-set variants (priced at €1,140) and five variations with cases set with synthetic diamonds (€1,640) with six dial color options, from turquoise blue to powder pink, including snow white, midnight blue, champagne or flannel gray.
