Dennison x Collectability, the elegant and affordable watch collaboration of the moment

The young watch brand created with the famous watch designer Emmanuel Gueit collaborates with John Reardon, a world-renowned expert in the Patek Philippe universe.
It's an unexpected marriage, the likes of which perhaps only contemporary watchmaking can offer. On one side is John Reardon, a major collector, former international director of Christie's watch department, and a world-renowned expert on the world of Patek Philippe. The founder of Collectability is also a trusted advisor to some of the greatest private collections. But until now, he had never associated his name with a watchmaking project. But Emmanuel Gueit, one of the most famous contemporary watch designers, has come along.
It's only been a few months since the Dennison Watch Company was relaunched. An Anglo-American company founded in 1874, it has manufactured cases for the most prestigious Swiss brands for nearly a century: Rolex, Omega, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and more. Today, it's back to conquer wrists with watches designed by Emmanuel Gueit, the famous Swiss designer behind the Royal Oak Offshore and the Rolex 1908, among others. "The shape. What sets Dennison apart from other brands is the shape," he explains. "It's coming back to the forefront. It's coming back to life. That's the difference." The recipe: creations with a sober design, inspired by the seventies with their cushion-shaped case, with natural stone or stripped-down sunburst dials, and offered at a price that's, for once, affordable: around 700 euros. At this price, with this style, the greatest collectors of rare watches are tempted. So much so that the brand has just unveiled its very first collaboration with Collectability, the leading platform founded by John Reardon, who recently purchased a model for himself, as well as for each of his children.
This special edition is designed around a dial that pays homage to one of the specialist's favorite models, the Ellipse, whose proportions and quiet strength he has always appreciated. "This collaboration shakes up the codes, offering a design and a price point that make the ideal watch accessible here—not in the distant future—but now," explains John Reardon. "This is not a watch for the next generation. It's a watch for today."
Crafted from stainless steel or yellow gold-plated, the case of this 37mm x 33.5mm, 6mm thick model is paired with a two-tone sunray dial. This watch, powered by a Swiss Ronda 1062 quartz movement, comes with a custom-made leather strap, featuring a pin buckle whose curvature and finish match those of the case. It is available in a limited edition for €690 for pre-order for a few days only on the brand's website
