A police officer was shot and wounded while responding to a burglary.

A police officer from the anti-crime squad was seriously wounded by a gunshot to the arm in the early hours of Monday morning in Saint-Germain-du-Puy (Cher) while responding to a bank robbery. The officers arrived as the individuals were cutting through the bank's door with an angle grinder. A chase ensued, and the criminals opened fire, wounding the officer, whose condition was no longer considered life-threatening by Monday evening. The perpetrators managed to escape.
