Écouflant (49): a 16-year-old girl, living near a Roma camp, victim of a gang rape at her home; two Roma people charged, four others still wanted

While four are still missing, two men were charged in July with the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl in Écouflant, near Angers (Maine-et-Loire). She lived in a house next to a Roma camp, where the suspects come from. In love with one of them, the teenager agreed to prostitute herself for love, until that evening in March 2025, when six men entered her home.
The 16-year-old girl's story is heartbreaking. This is the story of a teenager madly in love with an older boy, in his twenties, for whom she prostituted herself for free. Because the one she loved asked her to, summarizes the public prosecutor. She mentions about twenty men, friends of her partner. There are at least twenty of them and they are living next to her house, in a Roma camp in Écouflant (Maine-et-Loire). The young girl says she consented to his sexual relations, except for one evening in March 2025, when six men entered her home.
[…]Of the six people identified by the teenager, only two were apprehended. The first was already incarcerated. The second, the one appearing before the investigating chamber, was arrested in July. Charged with gang rape on July 21, he was imprisoned and kept in detention this Wednesday by the investigating chamber. According to the public prosecutor, it was impossible to argue that there was no risk of collusion, as long as everyone's versions were not fixed. Added to this is the risk of reprisals against the victim and her mother, who live next to the Roma camp.
