The two towns in Castilla y León that Aitana and Plex visited on their rural getaway together.

If we saw Aitana celebrating her birthday in Ibiza at the end of June, the singer has now swapped the beach for the interior. The artist was spotted with her partner, YouTuber Plex , in Castile and León, where they enjoyed a rural getaway to two picturesque villages steeped in history.

The couple visited Tiedra , in the province of Valladolid , where his parents and grandparents are from, and then went to the town of Toro , in Zamora , where Plex himself was born. There, in addition to cultural visits, they took the opportunity to discover local companies (honey and wine) and immerse themselves in the local traditions.

Tiedra, between medieval history, stars and lavender

The origins of Tiedra date back to the time of the Celts , when they founded the town, which was later Romanized and renamed Amallóbriga. Its heyday came in the Middle Ages, when it became a royal town, serving as a border post between the kingdoms of León and Castile, with great military importance .

That past is reflected today in its imposing 12th-century castle . The fortress stands on the edge of a moor, dominated by a 33-meter-high keep and surrounded by a parade ground. It also features a cellar-like dungeon and a rooftop viewing platform offering spectacular views of the surrounding area.

Its architectural heritage also includes the remains of the ancient wall, the Plaza Mayor , the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Tiedra Vieja, and the churches of El Salvador, San Miguel, and San Pedro. Toro, back to the origins

The town of Toro sits on a vantage point 739 meters above sea level , surrounded by natural beauty and landscapes marked by the presence of the Duero River . Its rich heritage is primarily characterized by Mudejar art , with the churches of San Lorenzo El Real, San Salvador de los Caballeros, Santo Sepulcro, San Pedro del Olmo, and the chapel of Nuestra Señora de la Vega.
