The Father of Barbecues , one of the most popular gastronomic events in the country, returns from May 31 to June 2 at Hacienda San Rafael in Bogotá, according to The Gula Group , its organizer.
" The soul of this festival is to create an experience that revolves around fire, embers, and shared knowledge. A living celebration where flavors connect territories and the grill positions Bogotá and Colombia as authentic gastronomic destinations ," they assert.

This year, it will feature 30 proposals selected by a curatorship headed by Jorge Rausch, FoodinBogotá, BogotáComidas and Alejandro Escallón, from B.Eats .
" This festival was born to recognize the true masters of the grill, celebrating a tradition deeply rooted in our families. Where, in addition to the quality of the product, we value the history and passion of each griller. Thanks to the public's recommendations and our experience, we have achieved a rigorous selection of local and international talents ," says Alejandro Escallón, founder of B.eats and co-founder of The Gula Group .

This edition will feature the following restaurants: Austin's Texas BBQ, La Fama Barbecue, La Coa Barbecue, La Casona de Luis, Horneros, La Bifería, Andrés Carne de Res, El Chori Charrúa, Cotiza Longaniza, Longo's, Sirloin & The Meat House, Don Costilla BBQ, Autocar, Raffaello Di Sauro, Osso, Mercagán Parrilla, Cabrera Resto Bar, Los Torres Horno y Parrilla, Premium Lechona Gourmet, La Kasta, El Árabe, Carnívoros, La Cocinoteca x Los Valientes a Fuego, Oak Ahumados, 69 Gauchos, Poseidón, Ness x Gordo, Juan Burgers, La Bonga Del Sinú and La Cabrera By Gastón Riveira .

And as for desserts, Suspiro Barra de Merengones, Friends Factory, Aury Postres, Lösh By Beiked, Grupo Smile and La 75 Heladería will be attending.

This year, El Papá de los Asados will feature two guest chefs, from Mexico and Argentina, respectively:
- Leo Lanussol: One of Argentina's most prominent chefs. As a consultant and culinary creative, he has worked on projects such as Proper, Lelé Cristóbal, and Ness, his most recent opening.
- Juan Emilio Villaseñor : ambassador of Guanajuato cuisine, bases his offerings on the ancestral knowledge of Mexican gastronomy. Smoke is the essential ingredient in his cuisine, and at La Cocinoteca, he exalts culinary tradition and the flavors of fire, charcoal, and the grill.
