Eighteen years after triumphing at Canada 2007, Argentina returns to the U-20 World Cup final by defeating Colombia 1-0 this Wednesday in Santiago, in the semifinals of Chile 2025, and will compete for the title against Morocco, a debutant in a youth final.
In a tense and exciting match at the National Stadium, Argentina won with a goal from Mateo Silvetti in the 72nd minute. Argentina is the most successful team in the U-20 World Cup, with six titles and appearing in 18 of the 24 editions. They have reached eight finals, including the runner-up finish in 1983 , and have not won the tournament since 2007, when a team led by Sergio "Kun" Agüero achieved glory in Canada.
