Argentina targets eleven markets in the Americas and Europe to boost foreign tourism.

Aerolíneas Argentinas launched a promotion with significant discounts for those who want to visit the country in the coming months, as a strategy to increase travel during the southern hemisphere spring and boost several tourist destinations across the country.
This is a joint initiative between Aerolíneas Argentinas and the National Institute for Tourism Promotion ( Inprotur ), which will run until August 31 and includes offers from eleven countries. According to official sources, the beneficiary nations will be Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Colombia, Peru, the Dominican Republic, the United States, Spain, and Italy.
Promotional tickets can be used between August 15 and the end of November, with the exception of flights from European destinations, scheduled for the period between March 1 and early June 2026.
The campaign includes flights from Madrid to Buenos Aires for 930 euros and from Miami for $600 . Particularly attractive are the prices for flights to the Argentine capital from Latin American destinations such as Asunción ($150), Lima ($250), Santiago de Chile ($170), and Bogotá ($440), among others.
There's also the option of adding a second destination , departing from Buenos Aires to other parts of Argentina, for an additional $50 to $100. Highlights include Patagonian destinations such as Bariloche, Ushuaia, and El Calafate, as well as the wine country of Mendoza and Iguazu Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
The promotion runs until August 31 and includes offers from eleven countries.
Options for traveling to the north of the country are also included, with connections to the provinces of Salta and Jujuy, an attractive destination for its cultural richness and stunning landscapes, where dining and lodging are available at more affordable prices.
"In this way, Argentina seeks to consolidate its position as a preferred destination in the region and the world , strengthening connectivity and bringing its diverse landscapes, culture, and cuisine closer to new travelers," explained Inprotur and Aerolíneas Argentinas in a statement, highlighting their intention to encourage the arrival of international visitors.
This campaign comes amid a significant drop in the number of foreign visitors to the South American country. According to the latest report from the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC), the number of foreigners visiting Argentina last June fell 21% year-on-year, to 542,300 people.
This decline in foreign visitors occurs in a context where the revaluation of the Argentine peso has generated an increase in prices in foreign currency.
Given this scenario, Argentina is seeking to regain regional competitiveness and position itself as an attractive destination for international tourism, especially in markets such as Brazil, Uruguay, and Chile, which accounted for 59% of total visitors in June.
The aim is to encourage the arrival of foreign tourists during the southern spring.
The objective of the measure is to encourage the arrival of foreign tourists during the southern spring, the season with the greatest natural and cultural offerings in the country.
Between the months of October and November, the blooming of thousands of jacaranda trees paints the streets and parks of Buenos Aires a violet. This city, in addition to its striking architecture, offers a wide range of national and international shows, exhibitions, and a world-renowned theater scene.
During the spring, the coast of Chubut province welcomes southern right whales, penguins, and sea lions, making Puerto Madryn and the Valdés Peninsula epicenters for marine wildlife watching.
In the same Patagonian district, the Trevelin tulip field displays its colors among the mountains, with 44 varieties of flowers that form a natural tapestry unique in the region.
Mendoza, for its part, is consolidating its position as one of the preferred destinations for wine tourism, with guided tours, wine tastings, and regional cuisine in the vineyards at the foot of the Andes Mountains.
In Jujuy, the Humahuaca Gorge, with its iconic seven-color hill and the imposing Salinas Grandes, are among the main attractions. In the spring, it's common to find flowering cactuses, along with native species such as the churqui, which enhance the natural colors of the gorge. EFE
