Alejo Viajero explores the Huayhuash Mountain Range: 8 days of adventure in the Peruvian Andes

Such is the case of influencer Alejo Viajero, who uses videos to capture different places around the world, also showing the activities he does in each one.

The content creator, who has over 80,000 followers on TikTok, embarked on an expedition to one of Peru's most impressive mountain ranges, known for its natural beauty and geographical isolation.
He hiked high mountain trails and captured stunning images of landscapes that combine turquoise lagoons, snow-capped peaks, and unique biodiversity, including animal species.
This experience allowed him to share with his audience a unique perspective on what is commonly known about Peru.

According to the Huayhuash website, Huaraz is the capital of the Department of Ancash, located at 3,090 m in the south of the Callejón de Huaylas on the banks of the Santa River between the Cordillera Blanca and the Cordillera Negra.
Huaraz is a typical, modern city, ideal for travelers who enjoy adventure activities in the Cordillera Blanca, Huayhuash, and Raura mountains, as well as short excursions around the Callejón de Huaylas and the Zona de los Conchucos.
The city of Ancash has a great tourist infrastructure, as it has:

- Regional, national and international food restaurants
- Banks
- Nightclubs
- Internet services
- Cafeterias
- Laundries, etc.

The Huayhuash website recommends the following routes:
- Lima - Pativilca - Huaraz: This is the most popular route, with a 404 km paved road from Lima and a trip on an interprovincial bus takes approximately 8 hours.
- Lima - Casma - Huaraz: an alternate route of 519 km. Take the town of Casma, which can be reached by following the Pan-American Highway North, which continues north to Pativilca.
- Trujillo - Chimbote - Huallanca - Huaraz: If you're coming from the north of Trujillo, there's an alternate route through the city of Chimbote, which runs along the banks of the Santa River and passes through 30 tunnels in the Cañón del Pato. The distance is 367 km.

Latam Airlines offers direct flights from Lima to Huaraz, and the trip takes approximately 50 minutes.
What is the weather like in Huaraz? Huaraz and the Cordillera Blanca have a tropical climate. The months from November to early April are considered rainy months.
The months from mid-April to September are known as the "Andean Summer," and are the recommended time to experience this adventure.
The average maximum temperature is 24º C (75º F) and minimum 7º C (44º F), according to the page mentioned above.
