Medellín and Nacional tied in a vibrant Paisa derby, in which DIM lost the option of finishing the match as the leader.

After two boring clashes in Bogotá and Cali, Independiente Medellín and Atlético Nacional redeemed themselves this Sunday in the "classic match" with a thrilling 3-3 draw that keeps both teams at the top of the Liga BetPlay standings.
The two Antioquia teams remain at the top of the table. El Poderoso has caught up with Junior, the leader, but has lost the position on goal difference, while Verdolaga currently sits in third, awaiting the outcome of the match between Fortaleza CEIF and La Equidad.
The excitement started very early at the Atanasio Girardot stadium, as if life wanted to compensate the more than 36,000 spectators who attended the derby and had to wait 40 minutes for the game to start due to poor weather conditions.
The classic started off hot: two goals in the first ten minutes Five minutes in, the 'Poderoso' already had the lead thanks to a shot by Brayan León Muñiz, who pounced on a rebound from goalkeeper Harlen Castillo after a shot by Daniel Londoño.

Nacional's response was immediate, and in the 7th minute, Uruguayan Facundo Batista scored his first goal in the Paisa derby with a cross shot after a pass from Juan Bauzá.
Javer Gandolfi's team continued their game: in the 21st minute, Batista scored a penalty after referee Andrés Rojas, in a good performance, called a foul by Francisco Chaverra on Bauzá in the home area.
Now, Medellín quickly equalized in the 26th minute, thanks to another goal from Brayan León, who took advantage of a poor exit from Castillo to make it 2-2, the final score in the first half.

Already in the second half, the 'Poderoso' struck first thanks to another penalty, for a foul by William Tesillo on Brayan León. Leyser Chaverra left Castillo with no chance and, in the 49th minute, put his team ahead.
But Nacional gradually got closer to tying the score: they hit the posts twice, one from Alfredo Morelos and another from William Tesillo, until finally, in the 77th minute, Morelos put the ball away after a great pass from Edwin Cardona.
The final 3-3 draw was a reward for both teams, although Nacional continues its poor run in the derby: it has now gone nine matches without beating Medellín.
