Lions defeat Ravens on Monday Night Football for second straight win

The closing moments of Week 3 of the NFL took place on Monday Night Football , where the Detroit Lions defeated the Baltimore Ravens 38-30. Both teams came in with a 1-1 record, looking for a win that would give them greater stability at the start of the season.
The game started evenly, with offenses responding to every attempt by their opponents. However, in the second half the Lions took control thanks to their defense, which managed to contain Lamar Jackson , and the effectiveness of their offense, led by Jared Goff , David Montgomery , Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown .

The Lions ' first response came in the second quarter, when they were trailing on the scoreboard. With a series of trick plays, Goff and Montgomery combined to find St. Brown and keep the offensive drive alive. Shortly after, a precise pass from the quarterback to the receiver tied the game at 21-21.
Before the third quarter ended, Montgomery went on a 72-yard run that brought his team closer to the end zone, although Marlon Humphrey prevented an immediate touchdown. That pressure turned into points at the start of the fourth quarter, when on fourth down the visitors risked a trick play: St. Brown received the pass from Goff and gave the ball to Gibbs , who completed the score to make it 28-21.
Down the stretch, with less than two minutes left, the Lions sealed the game on fourth down with a pass to St. Brown , who answered safely. Seconds later, Montgomery added his second touchdown and closed out the night with 151 yards rushing.
On the other side, the Ravens went all out with Jackson under center, but constant pressure from Detroit 's defensive line, led by Aidan Hutchinson , limited his impact.
The win left the Lions at 2-1, while the Ravens fell to 1-2. For Week 4, Dan Campbell 's team will visit the Cleveland Browns on September 28, looking to maintain the momentum of two consecutive victories.
