From Pedrerol's 'El Chiringuito' to the Getafe bench with Bordalás

Darío Montero , best known for his time on 'El Chiringuito,' has been announced as José Bordalás' new assistant at Getafe CF. As the Madrid club announced on social media, the youngster will be part of the coach's technical staff, which has surprised fans of the show.
The journalist started behind the cameras of the program hosted by Josep Pedrerol and rose through the ranks from editor to become one of the most recognizable faces, even replacing the host himself when he was on vacation. He quickly won the affection of the program and its fans, until he decided to make a radical change in his television career at the end of August 2023.
He himself announced during a tearful broadcast that this would be his last appearance because he wanted to make a career change. Pedrerol himself had a few kind words for the journalist in his farewell: "You've always been up to the task. We love you very much. You'll be fine."
During this time away from the spotlight, Montero has taken the opportunity to resume his career on the football pitch. At 36, he has a proven track record in both sporting and communications. He holds the UEFA A coaching certification, which allows him to manage semi-professional and professional teams. He also holds a Master's degree in Sports Management from the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the Rey Juan Carlos University. He has also worked at clubs such as CD Toledo and RCD Espanyol.
His knowledge has also led him to teach at the Barça Innovation Hub Master's program, a training program run by FC Barcelona. His career caught the attention of Getafe, where he began in the communications department and has now made the leap to coaching, where he will be Bordalás' assistant.
Once again, Pedrerol and the team at 'El Chiringuito' have sent a message to their former panelist, wishing him luck in his new career:
