Franco Tenaglia is a European and world champion of the largest bare-knuckle boxing company, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), which includes Conor McGregor.
This Argentine fighter who lives in Alicante , has the big dream of reaching the UFC . If he could build a winning streak, combined with his media clout and becoming a world champion in another combat sport, it could happen.
In Spain, he gained popularity for participating in Jordi Wild's Dog Wild Fight Tournament . Franco Tenaglia was interviewed on the YouTuber's podcast. He was asked what he thought was the best technique for receiving a punch.
"There are a lot of techniques I use, and I'm going to reveal them because they're a secret. There's a technique I use that people would tell me, 'No, you're crazy,' and they would laugh until I started seeing what worked and people would tell me, 'Hmm, interesting,' and they started practicing it and everything," the Argentine introduced.
He acknowledged that he has his own technique for taking blows without them hurting too much. When he sees a punch coming, he gets in the way, moving forward with his forehead to hurt his opponent.
"I've been used to fighting without gloves all my life, so when I'm going to get punched, I had a kickboxing teacher from many years ago who taught me to take the blows with the middle of my head . So, when I know the blow is coming, I cut the blow halfway . When you're going to throw the blow, I get close and break your hand with my head , which is where the hardest bones in the head are. I did that to Edy 'the shadow' and both of his hands were ruined, that's why he was doing that to me in the third round, because I was heading his punches," Tenaglia revealed.
When asked if it hurt to receive those blows when using that technique, Tenaglia confessed: " Yes, it hurts, but it hurts the other guy more."
